About Us
RGAZOM 90.8 MHz Community Radio Station, Harka Bahadur is being run and maintained by Indian Army wef 15 Aug 2022, with the aim to broadcast programes related to education, development, social and cultural needs of the local community. This is the first CRS to be inaugurated in this zone. The CRS has successfully completed one year since its inauguration on 05 September 2022.
The RGAZOM meaning “Happy Meeting” is dedicated to the people of Kargil and broadcast in Hindi, Balti and Purgil language. It is aimed at spreading awareness on various Govt schemes & other welfare measures for populace of Kargil.
Local news analysis and narration of Govt avtivities are covered in detail, regional and bollywood songs & activities pertaining to development of the local populace are covered every month. All the above activities are undertaken involving local population & almost 70% of the broadcast content is local & balance 30% is central content.

The day marks the liberation of Kargil from Pakistani raiders during Operation Bison, when the valiant soldiers of 77 Para Brigade restored the crucial link between Kashmir and Ladakh on 23rd November 1948.
